Geopark Camping Experience | Sunrise Kayak Tour | Depart from Sha Ha

About this Geopark Camping Experience:

• The Geopark Camping Experience is a 2 Days 1 Night tour.
• Our internationally qualified instructors will first bring your group to the UNESCO Global Geoparks by boat. After arriving at the destination, we will switch to kayak in order to explore the nearby geological landscapes in close proximity which you can’t normally do so by boat. After the exciting adventure, our instructor will then bring the whole group to the nearby secret campsite at one of the islands. We will disembark and set up camp, then enjoy a wonderful BBQ dinner with stars and moon as a backdrop. After a good night’s sleep on the peaceful island, our instructor will then bring you back out to the ocean with kayaks, enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the open water, and bring a romantic end to the unforgettable journey.
• This is a hassle-free camping experience. Participants do not need to bring any heavy camping equipment with them (personal items and sleeping bags excluded).
• The tour location is part of the UNESCO Global Geoparks where sites and landscapes of international geological significance are managed under the holistic concept of protection, education, and sustainable development.
• All of the Blue Sky instructors are qualified by the International Surfing Association (ISA) and have years of touring experience.

Itinerary (subject to change due to weather or other factors):

• 12:45 pm Assemble at Sai Kung Sha Ha Road (Blue Sky Sports Club)
• 01:00 pm Depart for the UNESCO Geopark Area
• 01:30 pm Kayak Eco Tour
• 04:00 pm Break and free time
• 06:00 pm BBQ Dinner (Usually Hong Kong Style BBQ – Please contact us for a detail BBQ menu or to arrange special food request, if necessary)
• 08:00 pm Clean up and tidying
• 09:00 pm Free time / Sleep
• 05:00 am Simple breakfast
• 06:00 am Kayak sunrise ocean tour
• 07:00 am Return to campsite and prepare to leave
• 09:00 am Depart to Sai Kung Sha Ha Road
• 10:00 am Dismiss at Sai Kung Sha Ha Road

Minimum participants：8 (2 people per tent)

• Tour can still be formed if less than 8 people provided full price of 8 people is paid  (Private Tour).
• If less than 8 people we might arrange you to join another group.
• Tour might be canceled if there are less than 8 people joined.

Booking & Payment:

• After submitting the booking request, please wait for our confirmation email and payment instructions before payment to ensure availability.
• After receiving the emails, please use the link in our email to pay within 12 hours to reserve your spot.

What to bring for camping?

• Must bring: Drinking water, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, flash light, towel, extra clothes and sleeping bag (not included for hygiene)
• Recommended to bring: Battery pack, portable fan, wind jacket, water sport shoes, waterproof bag, sunglasses, cap, snack/energy bar.

What to bring for the ocean tour?

• Must bring: Water sports shoes that covers your toes, swimwear, extra clothing, hat, sunscreen, dry bag and drinking water of 750ml or more.
• You are also suggested to bring sunglasses (with a floating belt), put on sunscreen and insect repellent before the event. You’ll also need dry clothes for changing after the event.

Important information regarding the camping experience:

• Those who care about sleep quality are not recommended to join.
• Each tent can accommodate a maximum of 2 people.
• The camping experience is for a group of at least 8 people. The whole group will experience the tour and have BBQ dinner together.
• Equipment for camping activities provided: camping tent (for 2 people), sleeping mat, BBQ dinner and breakfast, picnic utensils.
• The whole group must depart and return together. Once the group has left the shore, the latecomer will not be allowed to join separately (and no refunds will be provided).
• During the event, please cooperate with the other group members. The organiser will not be held responsible for any accident caused by individual(s) leaving the team or not listening to the instructions.
• The tour and camping sites are within the marine park. The rules of marine parks must be followed. Don’t take any creatures (including dead ones) or seashells on the coast as souvenirs.
• The travel and camping sites are within the scope of the UNESCO Geopark. Remember to abide by the relevant Geopark regulations .

Regarding member discount:

• Please note that member discount is only applicable to Blue Sky member himself / herself and does not cover other participants who do not posses valid Blue Sky membership. If other participants do have a valid membership, please ask them to submit their booking using their own account, or make sure you have entered their membership email at the “Personal Information of other participants” session below, and contact us to make price amendments after you have submitted the booking.
