Paddlers aged 6 and up are welcome; a double (tandem) kayak is open to children from age 3 sharing with a parent. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Participants are required to carry the equipment themselves. Staff can only offer limited support.

It is essential that we know about any medical conditions and individual needs for your safety. Our staff can adapt the program to meet your individual needs. For group classes, the maximum instructor-to-participant ratio is 1:8.

Courses, tours and guided programs: yes. All participants should be able to swim 25 metres unassisted, without a floating device. Some programs set a higher requirement — check the program page before booking. Equipment rental: swimming ability is not required. A life jacket is provided and must be worn at all times.
