Family Dragon Boat Fun Day
From: $300.00
Watch your child’s face light up the moment their paddle hits the water and pushes a massive dragon boat across Sai Kung.
This two-hour session in Sai Kung drops you and your kid straight into the action with zero prior experience required. Our instructors cover the basics in a quick onshore briefing before guiding the whole team out onto the water for 90 minutes of high-energy paddling. $300 per person covers all gear (a parent-and-child pair is $600) — gather a few families or bring a group, and we run a session once about 10 paddlers are on board.

2-Hour Itinerary
(Subject to change due to weather or operational factors)
- 10:00 — On the shore: Sha Ha meet-up, gear distribution, 30-min onshore stroke + safety briefing.
- 10:30 — On the water: 90-min on-water session — paddle as a team, follow the drum, take a turn at every position.
- 12:00 — Back ashore: Return to Sha Ha — event ends.
Why Choose Blue Sky?
- Sha Ha is our home water — the same calm Sai Kung bay Blue Sky Sports Club has run paddle programs out of for 20+ years. Forgiving conditions for first-time paddlers and kids.
- One instructor per boat for the full 2 hours — onshore briefing, on-water guidance, position rotation so every paddler gets a turn at the drum, the stroke seat, and the steering oar.
- Coaches are trained in open-water rescue. Sessions run rain or shine within safe operating limits, postponed only if conditions exceed those limits.
- Equipment is checked between every session — paddles, life jackets, drum, seats — so the boat that leaves shore is the same standard, every time.
